Detailed Itinerary

Day 1:
  • We will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to the fabulous Midnight Sun Inn in downtown Whitehorse.
    Information meeting and registration for optional tours.
  • Time for shopping and dinner on your own.
  • 11:00 pm: we will drive you to SS Klondike which is located in downtown Whitehorse by the Yukon River and enjoy the midnight sun (weather permitting).
  • Return around 1:00 am.

 

Day 2:
  • Sleep in!
  • 10:00 am: drive to Carcross. On the way we will stop at Emerald Lake, Carcross Desert and Caribou Crossing Trading Post where you can enjoy their impressive Wildlife Museum which includes a woolly mammoth, bears, caribou and muskoxen.
  • 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm: free time in Carcross. Check-out the gift shops, the train station, First Nation performances or just relax at the Bennett Lake beach.
  • 3:00 pm: return to Whitehorse. We will visit the must-see tourist attractions: Miles Canyon and Schwatka Lake.
  • 6:00 pm: relax and dinner on your own.
  • 11:00 pm: midnight sun viewing tour at SS Klondike.
  • Return around 1:00 am.

 

Day 3:
  • Sleep in!
  • 10:00 am: city tour of Main street, train depot of White Pass & Yukon Route, visitor reception centre, log skyscrapers, old log church, sternwheeler SS Klondike, fish ladder, Schwatka Lake and some residential areas.
  • Afternoon: we will take you to visit the MacBride Museum, Yukon Transportation Museum and Beringia Interpretive Centre, where you can learn more about the Yukon’s past. We will also visit Yukon Wildlife Preserve and Takhini Hot Springs.
  • 4:45 pm: we will transfer you to the dog kennel and visit the husky dogs. Dine at the kennels. At dinner you will have the home-cooked bounty of locally sourced Arctic Char, bison elk comprise the main course, and fresh vegetables and dessert options are also included.
  • Return around 8:00 pm.
Day 4:
  • 10:00 am: 1.5-hour scenic drive to Haines Junction and visit the Kluane National Park. Watch for wildlife at Sheep Mountain.
  • 6:30 pm: back to Whitehorse. Dinner on your own.
Day 5:
  • City tour in the morning at your leisure to do some final souvenir shopping.
  • Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
